Transport from the hotel to the Vengedalen car park where the tour starts. Follow the signs for Romsdalseggen, past a cabin and up the hill along the river. Just above the forest border, the path goes gently into Hesteheian. Follow the path to the left up along a clear mountain ridge between Blånebba and Aakesfjellet. Fantastic view up on the ridge. The path towards Åndalsnes turns to egg towards Mjølvafjellet. A little steeply down and over the Halsaskaret before the ascent to Mjølvafjellet. Here there is a short steep section that is secured with a chain. Furthermore, the terrain is slightly flatter towards Aakesvarden, and from here there is a marked slope down towards Mjølvaskaret with an airy passage over to Høgnøsa. Continue down towards the stone cabin at Nesaksla, and further along the clear and well-marked path from the top back to Åndalsnes. Some steep parts at the top that are secured with a chain.

Remember to close gates after you, and remind dogs to be kept on a leash.
